might as well publish the story behind the last track, even if you can’t stream it ~
This one is just the last thing I wrote before drifting off to sleep one night.
It’s an interesting song in that I sketched out exactly the sounds in my head, and the result is in 5/8 or something.
sci - My Experience Collection
ok, it’s now the official release date for this album!
10 people have completed the puzzle and received a copy of the album already. A congrats to each of you!
for everyone else, I should explain what I’m doing: The idea behind this album was to release it through an ARG-esque puzzle. However, for a short time, I am enabling the option to buy the album, albeit at a (relatively) steep price.
If you haven’t finished the puzzle, I encourage you to ask around! You should be able to solve it with the help of a friend!
If you don’t want to ask around, I encourage you to look for a pirated copy of the album!
If you support (or have ever supported) me and my work, thank you. I truly appreciate it!
thanks for playing!
enjoy!
I don’t remember what lead to this song. I barely remember writing it, only finding it months later while digging around my project folder.
This was made at around the time where I was shocked by the extremes of humanity: people being really cruel, and people being really kind.
It still gets to me, sometimes.
I saw a box of rain (literally a box with rain in it…not rainwater, but falling rain.)
I thought it deserved a song.
paraphrase from the project file:
I saw a box of rain, the other night. A cardboard box, large enough to fit a sofa inside, sitting on the side of the road. It emanated the sound of rain and created a large puddle, excess water flowing off into the street.
Of course, the box itself, being made of cardboard, was sopping wet.
It was a strange sight, and a bit of a surreal moment.
I felt kind of weird, that day.
Not bad, just weird.
It happens.
A week or so before I made this tune, I had my wisdom teeth pulled out and was kinda limited as to what I could/couldn’t eat.
A few days later, I could finally eat solid food, but felt a bit queasy afterwards. I decided to just tough it out while I watched a livestream music contest thing I had entered.
Well that queasyness turned out to be full-on food poisoning.
While I was busy being sick, I placed last in that contest.
yeah.
the title says it all.
happy, excited, looking forward to the future.
I learned something new!
This was the last (and best) in a series of sketches that I made while attempting to push some sleepy feels out one night.
pretty much exactly what it says on the tin.
the story is in the music.
from the project file:
long day. long week…
I’m dragging.
I really truly honestly don’t remember what was happening that caused me to write this, just that I was a bit of an emotional wreck at the time.
Not even a bad sort of emotion, just…fragile?
